Artist Boat Kayaking Adventure in April!
We will culminate our ecology unit with a trip to Galveston. I will take 45 students each day for four days so that every student has the opportunity to visit the Coastal Heritage Preserve being established by Artist Boat. (April 24, 25, 28 & 29) The cost will be $25 per student, including transportation. The fees are significantly reduced thanks to grant funds now available through Artist Boat!
Students will enjoy an exciting field trip adventure that include paddling and safety instruction, birding, watercolor painting and participation in hands-on outdoor environmental education activities. While exploring Galveston Bay's tranquil habitats, students make their own watercolor painting to reflect creatively the immense beauty, wonder and diversity of life contained in coastal margins.
